Removed surface temperature by request of the scientists... What scientists? Whose data model was thrown off by those numbers? Give all the data and let users interpret the data. You could have easily left surface temperature data in place and still add the high level atmospheric temperatures. As a matter of fact, interactions and exchanges between surface and atmospheric conditions are relevant and useful. For example, thermals.

That I wont be participating in. What kind of update reduces our access to information? I find it all the more galling that you think anonymous others should be making the decision for the actual users. How incredibly paternalistic.

I had the same thought as I read thru the Whats Fixed notes; why put data from 10,000 ft to replace the existing surface level temperatures? Not my first choice, NASA, not at all; surface numbers are critical for the dynamics of forecasting. Itd been great if you just added the temps @10,000 feet without cutting the surface temperatures out; maybe there wasnt room on the database to put more stuff on there in the column, maybe something else. Im still debating about applying this update until NASA fixes this issue. Mark

This app is nice but I wouldnt give it one star for being a year late like what the? If I wanted something so late I wouldnt need it. Talk about disinformation !!!

Dont bother deleting and reinstalling. It still wont work. FIX THIS PLEASE!!

Worked for awhile and was worth the price. After the past week or so, it quit working. I wished I hadnt purchased it.

Not liking the update. Zooming is far too sensitive and twitchy. The new map has slashes of emptiness all along the equator.

It requires the pixel doubler on an iPad! LOL. and it doesnt support landscape orientation. Good thing its free.

Interesting and informative. Room for improvement, too. How about a snapshot capability?

Some of the maps are from last year or older. The data is sporadic making the map blotchy or full of holes.

I like this app because of the data sheets it gives. Sure it has its bugs, but its good none the less.

Very useful and has a rage data that can be interpreted. Relatively up to date and a good app overall. Has a good layout.

I really like this app but on the regular earth it looks like it has holes in it plus I wish there were more options other wise it is awsome

Great app, but there used to be a option to check Atmospheric CO2 levels. Although it havent been updated since 2011. What happened to this option!!! Why was it never updated. And why is it now gone! Also, why can you not see the top of the earth when you tap the visible earth tab? Nice addition with sea salinity tab. Id like to see the CO2 tab back, and updated...
